The Ravens continue to stress over the now record 0-12 start has not diminished their attempts to break out of their slump, though they can still attempt to get into the swing with 68 games to go, with a heartbreaking game like this, their chances continue to evaporate. Lord Pichupal seems to be settling into his role as the Wheelers' closer now, garnering his second save of the season in solid fashion, proving there was little bad blood with his reassignment.
It was a close battle for first place in the Western Division as the Tikis entered Portland on a three-game series. Though the Pioneers had a pair of errors that nearly broke the game, the home team held through thanks to a timely home run by Benito Rodriguez to take the first game.
The Pelicans faithful were rewarded with a raucous game with three home runs leaving the stadium. But the real help came from two errors in the 2nd and 8th inning, both that set up runs, with the error in the 8th sparking a two-our rally capped by a Terry Simpson double that scored two.
The first meeting of the two expansion teams in the FLB in the regular season proved to be a difficult one for the high-flying Bombers, as Franklin Heyward came out of the bullpen to befuddle the hitters with his knuckleball prowess. The Pikes bullpen continued to hold the Bombers for just a single run, throwing down the glove between the two Canadian teams.
Tanya Baskerville spun another gem, striking out nine Randalls and holding them completely out of the game while the Larks lit up the scoreboard with a total of 15 hits, small-balling their way through half of the Randalls' bullpen while working their way back to .500.
Many of the Swamp Foxes' fanbase has been freaking out over the last three series due to the harsh opponent they have been facing. But today gave a ray of hope, as Ken Brown reached into his bag of tricks, showing there is still tank in his gas while starting out, holding the Rats down in seven innings, backed up by a heady offense that included three home runs in the night sky.

FA+

Still hoping that Shadow can get his first regular season hit soon.
Though if you really want to rest one more day, I'm fine with that. :)
On the other hand, it's wonderful to have Felcia back and she can start at her natural position. Hopefully Jose can be a better 4th starter.
