I HAVE A CAR I HAVE A CAR IHAVE A CRAA

and I FINALLY gathered the money to purchase a new one. The car that was totaled was the other driver's responsibility so I never had to make a claim with my insurance and received $3500 for the damages. Which is great and all, but there was a catch. The car was given to me by my parents so all of the money went to them. They offered to give the money to me as soon as I found a car, but ended up needing it in their move to another state. That being said, they offered to help me out with payments each month- but there's no way I could afford the insurance on a car that's not paid off.
So, after months of saving and searching, I finally got a car. No more rides to work and grocery stores from roommates and friends, no more missing out on seeing my family for the past year, no more anxiety from feeling trapped in my house. Oh my God. It's literally the biggest weight lifted from my chest. I feel independent again. I didn't even have to touch the savings put aside for a psychiatrist!! <3<3<3
