AUP changes...
Don't affect me in the slightest. Frankly.
A few of the artists I watch (those who render rather than draw) are, however. This is disappointing. Though I find it perhaps more disappointing how quickly and easily they conclude the AUP change rules them out, since that would imply the models they use had always been relatively unmodified.
I can see the rationality behind the changes, though I'm not terribly convinced it was necessary. The unusual part for me is that, unlike many (if not all) previous "major" site policy changes so far, almost no one is complaining/whining/crying/emoing/riding around on a drama lama shouting warcries.
That in itself is refreshing, since the fandom could do with a serious bleeding out of excess tears. It is slightly concerning however, as I'm not seeing much in the way of intelligent discussion over the change taking place, or seemingly any of the artists affected by it resisting the change - or getting any support from their watchers.
It's all very sterile.

FA+

I think that is the reaction here, most users of FA have become very use to the fact that policy changes lack transparency or even open discussion. The Admin just does something and god forbid that you are on the blacklist of things that they man seems to dislike. And that is how is goes... That how is stays, the users are keep at a distance and have a gun pointed at them at all time as if they are the enemy. The AUP is said to have the opinion of user's in mind, but I don't see it if an attempt was made.
I wonder why if FA is such a large "community" that someone, anyone, a small group of people, don't seem to demand open discussion on policies (or assuming that they is one, WHY in hell it ends up being such a quite, unpublicized thing), since it effects artist, creative minds etc. As much as this lack of interest would bug me, I have bigger fish to bother with and have concluded long before v3 that any effort with FA's community is a lost cause unless there is admin/moderator support behind it to keep it aloft.
Sorry, that is my two cent on the whole affair.
