Interesting vore question...
I've wondered this question for a very long time. It was a little setting up though.
In a world where vore is permanent, it would be considered a crime to consume a another sentient being. That said, there shouldn't be a way for a pred to vore without getting in trouble with the law. I've seen this world in stories and art and I rather enjoy this aspect, even though it leaves a sour tastes a little.
But let's say there's someone who's suicidal and doesn't want to live anymore. So this person goes to a pred and willingly lets him/herself get swallowed up by the pred. In this case, would the pred get charged? Would certain variables change rather the or not the pred has broken the law? Such as a note or recording from the suicidal prey? Maybe even if the prey forced him/herself into the pred?
I would think that voring a willing prey would be excusable as long as you have documentation that the prey is truly willing. I do wonder what you guy's thoughts are on this.

Question is, puting the vore aside, do you really want to leave open ground in a society for people to kill each other with impunity? There are already enough ways to exploit society, then adding a legal way of doing that would be just irresponsible.
Now to the second point;
The thing about a suicidal volunter is that there waaaaay too many variables to consider. Most people who exibit suicidal behavior tend to back out several times from doing so, and some people even try to back out after the point of no return (like calling 911 after having already ingested poison)... What if he backs out halfway? Will he have a legal and realiable way to ask the pred to let him out... More importantly, would the pred be trustworthy on such a matter? What is to stop him from just digesting the prey and then reporting to authorities that the prey itself offered no resistance and didn't give in halfway.
So in order to keep things simple society HAS to make all forms of suicide illegal, as 'A': a form of discouraging the less strongwilled suicides and 'B': a form of holding unsuccessful atempts against the practioner (like... If someone tried to shove themselves inside a unwilling predator and the predator spit him back out the suicide would be held accountable)
So yeah... Unless non-lethal I don't think any society would benefit from it... But again that is just my particular point of view, maybe someone else out there can tell me a legal way to do it ^^
There was a russian dude that literally had a video and multiple emails from himself sent to the other guy, that he wanted to die by being eaten.
Soooo, they did the dead and such. AAAND the guy who ate the dude who wanted to be eaten got arrested.
So yeah. I'm pretty sure it would be illegal in that sort of universe as well.
Scratch that!
I suppose if the predator had WRITTEN EVIDENCE that his/her/it's prey was willing and gave it's consent...
Though there could also be controlled environments, such as the Killing Booths in Futurama. This would leave the suicidal/etc being to have their choice in the matter.
Just as well, there could be "Liscenced" predators. Given the right to deal in such a business would permanently scar the Predator's files and maybe a fine??
Secondly, it'd probably be some kind of 'suicide clinic' if suicide were legal, and even then people would typically go for the 'quick' and 'easy' ways to kill themselves if they aren't just looking for attention. In reality being digested alive (profived you don't suffocate first) is pretty terrifying, that's why I (and many others I imagine) try to 'cartoonify' it a little, even if it's implied the vore is permanent, while pothers like the whole bit of the prey being 'tortured' and leave those kinds of details in.
In the case that the prey would still want to be eaten he'd probably have to go to one of these proposed suicide clinics and specifically ask to be eaten by someone who is willing to do so. The pred would have to be willing to 'kill' the person after all.
But all in all, to me vore is just a fun fantasy, it need'nt make sense |3
But again, though...X3 Like Ozy said, yeah, you probably shouldn't think about it too hard.
On one hand, ether they're part of a primitive society or are wild creatures so have no society at all.
On the other hand it's sometimes done by predators so strong (ether physically or politically) that the law can't touch them (i.e: part of a gang which the police are in fact after however never get caught), or maybe the existence of vore is farfetch'd in the universe it takes place in so witnesses won't be believed when they try to tell others (or at the very least some aspects of it are unbelivable such as the predator having magical powers or something).
Of course the morality behind it is something different.
The best example which comes closest to your example is the real life german cannibal Armin Meiwes. He found willing prey, which he eventually killed and consumed.
It's recorded and proven beyond a doubt that his prey wanted to be killed and eaten, but Armin was still convicted of murder and sentenced to life.
I imagine that the laws would be the same for soft vore if something like that was possible in our reality.
Of course, a world where soft vore and predation is a more seriously possible option, the law may look at it differently.
