Vixen Abroad!!!

Having the best vacation ever, pretty much.
Be another week until I'm back in Sweden, and then I'll probably need a couple of days to recover from jet lag and appease my fluffy feline overlords for committing the deadly sin of leaving them in my housemate's care for 2½ weeks.
Met some of the
novascotiafurs last week, had a wonderful weekend hanging out with
Veritas and
ThreeRandomWords, and though there have been details that weren't awesome (like my anxieties kicking in double-time over stupid little things), overall it's just... OOHMIGAWD.
And if you're in Halifax NS, you need to drag your butt to The Cut because DAYUMN that's a brilliant steakhouse. Likewise, The Sea Dog Saloon in Shelburne, NS is well worth a visit. Had their "Big Dog" Philly Steak sandwich for lunch and it was freaking awesome.
This is the first time I'm out of the country for an extended amount of time for YEARS, and while it hasn't turned me onto vacationing per se, I sure as hell see the appeal of visiting friends.
Though geez I never thought freaking CANADA would be this HOT.
Exciting plans coming up for next week, as well.

One of these years, if I can get financially comfortable enough, I do have a few US visits I'd love to make, TSA aside.
Run, walk, crawl or drag your furry butt down to Halifax Donair.....NOW! You'll be glad you did. I regularly haunt the Burlington Ont version; at least once a week. (My cardiologist can go to hell! ) And yes, it can get quite warm here in the Colonies. *mandatory monocle adjust* Have you been to the Citadel yet? Check out the Propeller pub too, if its still there, they make a great craft brewed beer.
It can get quite warm across North America during the summer, without the moderation of the ocean nearby. You even have to wear sunscreen! But Canada's reputation as a land of snow and ice totally comes true in winter.
Are you heading to Eurofurence next month? I'm moving a few thousand miles eastwards next week myself, and I figured a few hundred more wouldn't be too much of a stretch. (But if this has been your first trip in years, you might not be planning on another just after it . . .)
Unfortunately, my economy still doesn't allow for cons; I was treated to this trip by my parents, which is the only reason I could afford to go at all.
Current project is scrounging up witnesses from among the local furries for officiating our wedding tomorrow. XD Original plans fell through so last-minute arrangements it is. Fun times!
I'd have loved to stay longer so I could make the BBQ but my mom's a teacher and needs to get back home before the new semester. It's been several years since I got to attend a furmeet so would've loved to make up for lost time. Alas!
