Well shit.
My laptop is now giving me more problems than i wanted. I had to reformat it because it crash dumped twice. And when i took it to a repair dude he told me everything is fine.
So clearly it HAS to be conflicting software. So format ans reinstall everything frim scratch.
The nuke it from orbit policy worked before, should do it again. Now my usb's arent working and thus i cannot plug in my tablet.
All this is just giving me undue stress. I dont know about you guys, but HATE pc stress. one minute things look dire and the next its fine.
At any rate i might have to take it in to get fixed. Really the only thing i can do about it.

apparently the hard drive was too full and It caused it to crash and corrupted my profile x3
so now I've got the repair guys working on it, deleting some prgrams to make enough room so they can recreate my profile
and while I wait I have a severely sub-optimal setup that is not only uncomfortable to use for any amount of time (as I have to sit in a position that plays havoc with my back) but also can't use games very well due to the computer being old and it's screen malfunctioning (so I have to use my HDTV as a monitor)
my problem is also amplified by the
fact that my house mate and i tried to
find a place that can repair it and
wouldnt you guess it... there is only
ONE place near us and we dont even
know if they can handle the job.
either way im going to have to get to
them and find out if they can fix it.
also brings up the point that i may
have to invest in a proper machine :/
Also what OS are you using?
Honestly I've had more trouble fighting with windows machines than any other OS, there's only two reasons I ever seem to go back to them. First games are made more for them, and second it's almost more comfortable...
windows is my main thing. I'm seriously giving thought to looking for something else once I get my full on PC up and going.
Laptop is cool, but you really are beholden to it and it's limits.
So once I start building it up i'll be able to looks elsewhere for OS
But other OS? I'l be keeping an eye out and do My research on them.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. They help steer me in the right direction
And this is why M$ will keep selling their OS and beta software...
BTW, there are programs like WINE that will (probably) let you use your software in another OS...
