For those of you that know me I'm a pretty big nerd. I was pretty up to date with all the things released at SDCC this past week, which brings up our general discussion topic of the day: What are you excited for?
Even if not film/comic related, is there any games or shows you cant wait to be released?
I for one am pretty happy about the Mad Max: Fury Road film coming out next summer. Check out the trailer, it looks amazing:

I'm so excited about it -it looks like a ton of fun. Idk about you but so far my favorite Marvel film is Winter Soldier, but this looks like it'll at least take my number 2 spot at least.
A new Tool album...someday...
"Shadow of the Colossus" movie, which I fully expect to be terrible, but will see anyway...someday...
And I look forward to the new anime as they come, so there's that.
OH! James Cameron's gonna make a "Gunnm" movie. Yeah, I've been looking forward to that for just...years and years, ever since I first heard about his intent to do so...he had better do a good job, though.
It'd just be strange since theres like zero dialogue in the game - it'd be interesting to see how that pans out. I hear they're trying to revamp the Akira live action movie AGAIN. We'll see what happens :)
Also, last time I checked the guy they had attached to write does military-grade crap.

And like...we'll have a "The Last of Us" movie before long, and they've got err...homeboy from the game's production working on the script. As long as they stick closely to the game, the result should be perfectly watchable. (I am hoping to hear "That's alright...I believe him." come cold-blooded onto the big screen. That would be friggin' sweet...ok, I'm daydreaming.)
As for SotC...well. I really hope it'll be good, it's my second-favorite game. But hoping is all there is to do.
I'm a big collector of NECA figures, I was drooling over their footage more than anything lol.

I'm sort of excited for the Dark Souls 2 DLC that's coming, but I'm waiting for all three to arrive to see if it's worth getting them. Normally for Dark Souls I would buy it in a heartbeat, but #2 left me feeling kind of disappointed. Still a killer game, and I'm keeping my eye on that DLC, but I'm being a little wary alongside being hyped that the game is still receiving support.

Yeah I never saw Frankenween and I saw part of Paranorman but I admittedly lost interest :< Sad since it looked cool, it just didn't engage me.. Coraline was similar; it was cool looking but the story didn't resonate much
Man I saw Coraline in theaters and was just hoping so bad it was just gonna get super fucked up and scary but it never happened : |
LOL oh god yeah I felt the same way... It had like 1-2 cool scenes but otherwise.. I was sad. It was quirky but quirky isn't enough, you know?
and yeah, I wanted more blood. so many missed possibilities with the whole eyeballs being sewn shut with buttons thing.
