Goodbye Mr. Williams, You Will Be Missed
If there was ever a comedian I thought would never do this, it was Robin Williams. One of my idols. Early this morning he was pronounced dead of an apparent suicide.
And I can honestly say I am shocked. He had been dealing with depression for years, but I always believed he was winning over it with a smile. I know this sounds cliche, but he was so full of life. He brought energy to every roll that most actors just can't, even if the movie was shit. He could also get serious, like in Good Will Hunting. His stand-up was also brilliant, routines I still listen to nearly every car trip, even if I know every joke.
He is one of the people who inspired me to try stand-up. Robin showed that you could over come drugs, alcohol, and depression and still come out laughing.
You will be missed Robin, and you have left a legacy.
