Wing it Pixel Icon

Hello my darlingsIve been really wanting to try out something different when doing pixel icons,
for example I do these: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13129466/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13450834/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12172228/
but i want to try out an icon with more pixels, something like this(more pixels than that but i really like these) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14301224/ though probably not quite as lovely ...of course il try though. their icons lately have been really inspiring me to try it out
and if someone could link me a safe and free download for photoshop i could also attempt at a transparent background, or do the shadow,color background like oniongrumps, i find backgrounds like that really nice but how do you feel about that on an icon? would you prefer a solid color or a pattern?
the reason i titled this a wing it is because i dont have any examples and ill be trying out diferent things and seeing what i come up with. It might be fancy looking if i can do that, or not. it might end up being a chibi, regular body, or feral! depending on what I feel I can do with the pixels given but I definitely want to do a full body
In the end if these turn out good and I enjoy doing them I may start offering them at around $25-$30 depending on the difficulty
So right now since im trying it out ide like to do one for $5
BUT this is not first come first serve.
Since what will help me to do a good job on this is to choose something I think I will enjoy doing
Clothing is accepted! hair is preferred! any gender any species is considered!
If your okay with all of this, Post as many refs as you want, no more than 2 refs per character, but you can post as many characters as youd like.
and state that YES you understand and agree with everything
and that if I choose you, you will pay the $5 up front (paypal USD)
I will only choose ONE character to do
