With or Without the cheats.

Now, we all know videogames are the best thing ever. But I got into a debate yesterday with a friend of mine over the use of cheats in certain videogames, namely ones the likes of GTA and Saints Row.
He argued that using cheats was cheap, and generally ruined the overall experience of the game.
I argued that it wasn't cheap at all, if anything, using cheats in games like these makes it all the more fun. I mean, they're already pretty BS-heavy games, so why not? Why the fuck not punch things and make them explode? Or toss people over 900 feet away? Or jump about twenty feet into the air? It's fun!
Now, I will say that when doing missions, I do switch the cheats off, because that takes the merit out of it... But when you're free-roaming? Pls. It's a lot of fun.
