Bike Knocked Over at Work
Some glorious example of human kind knocked my bike over at work and didn't leave a note. Ugh.

I'm slowly losing faith in mankind. My week is ruined. I'm gonna go crawl in a corner.

Do you have more than just liability insurance at least?
And with the rear brake, being on its side might have let air get in the system, could try bleeding it and topping up the reservoir to get some function back.
Also, If you have a hollow section of pipe you can slide that over things like the foot pegs to get more leverage bending them back into place.
Hope you're made whole in some way from this. I'd post a note where the crash was appealing for witnesses too.
Because there's a whole lot more damage there than just being pushed over. If both brake and shifter were bent to shit, my friend that's past a bump and into vandalism.
Though as one who doesn't ride (yet) I had no idea so much damage could occur from it tipping over like that. I bet lots of people don't. Still doesn't excuse the lack of even a note, though.
Or... they hit it with a car, knocked it over, they picked it up and were idiots, tipping it over the other way and then just ran after that. But still.. I'd have the cops there, checking for CCTV and finding somebody to rip a new ass into. Because then that'd be hit and run which.. I believe, leaving the scene of an accident is a felony in this state, no note, no insurance info.. I'd call it vandalism.
I was lucky my first truck was a manual so I got to learn on that. Saddens me that 80% of the people today don't know how to drive a stick shift and 70% of people don't know how to change their tire when they get a flat.
I honestly have no set plans on when. I have other things to think about for now that take priority. But it's been something I've been kicking around for years, anyway. :)
Police didn't buy that excuse, but without evidence, yeah. The witness didn't want to be confronted so we had nothing.
Eventually I moved, and shortly after that the managers were arrested on embezzlement charges, fraud, and mail theft- they were getting all FedEx /UPS packages delivered to the main office and then claiming nothing was delivered.
It sucks, but bikes are exposed to a lot of bad situations like this. I'm glad mine is now in my driveway at my home, even if it doesn't run right.
