Bracebridge Bombers (1-0) 2 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 X 4 10 0

Player of the Game: K. Uchikawa (8 IP, 3 ER, 12 K)
The Bombers opened the 2014 FLB Playoffs with a grand spectacle, with the home fans cheering wildly for the expansion team that had exceeded expectations and more this season. The game began with a blast to match the opening fireworks, as they hung three runs on the new reigning ace of the Pioneers, Kumiho "Kyu-Ball" Kakashi (PDX/Kitsune/SP). The Pioneers answered back by the fourth inning, but the Bombers dug in and were rewarded with a solo home run in the eighth. Handing the ball to the league winner of the saves crown Jerry West, who closed it out with a 1-2-3 to give the Bombers their franchise first playoff win.
Hawaiian Tikis (1-0) 0 0 0 0 3 0 0 2 0 5 13 0
Charleston Swamp Foxes (0-1) 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 2 6 2
W: C. Lutrai (HAW/North American River Otter/SP; 1-0) L: J. Howard (CHA/Red Fox/SP; 0-1)
HR: None
Player of the Game: C. Lutrai (9 IP, 2 ER, 8 K)
Though the Swamp Foxes had the first blood against the Tikis' ace Cindy Lutrai, it was a combination of small ball and exploitation of a pair of Foxes errors that allowed the Tikis to do what few players had to Jane Howard all season. The Foxes found themselves in a hole they could not dig out of early, and look to tomorrow's game to even the series before flying out to Honolulu on Tuesday.

Way to go, Cindy! :) Another complete game and she avenged her loss to Howard in the previous match-up :) 114 pitches (75 for strikes), 6 Hits, 2 runs, 1 Walk, 8 K's and a 2.00 ERA for her first Playoff win! :)
