Oh my god! Somehow the deluded souls that judged the writing competition at Rainfurrest decided that I won second place in the writing competition. I would never have expected to come in quite so high. I figured at best to come in above those that didn't finish. ;)

The entire story was an attempt to prove to myself that I could write, and finish up a story. Even more so, that I could submit it for consideration. Apparently I should be doing so more often.

As it was, Rainfurrest was a fun con to attend. I met people that I wanted to meet, got a ton of street passes on my DS and I left a great many tags scattered about on the tables. Maybe people will log them, or maybe not but at least people found them interesting enough to pick them up. I have already started roughing out my design for next year, and look forward to getting someone to make it look good in the near future.

Maybe next year I will drag along my cavalier, and force myself to be more social via the careful application of dog cuteness. :)
