At 12:07 my best friend, fur child and companion Smokie passed on. Her bone marrow had stopped working and was no longer producing red or white blood cells making it hard for her to absorbs oxygen. We opted to euthanize her before things got too painful for her as there was nothing we could do and she would have died this weekend anyway. She peacefully passed away with 5 people who loved her surrounding her to the Hawaiian song "over the rainbow"

She was adopted from the Monterey SPCA as a kitten and almost 13 years old and has been with me for pretty much half my life since I'm 26. She sat with me and kept me company through my anxiety attacks and suicidal depression. She was always there to comfort me when I needed a cuddle buddy. She was the best cat a guy could ask for and will be sorely missed.
