Link is actually one of the characters I'm decent with. I have Brawl but my top five characters I'm best with in that game (and in no particular order) are Ike, Wolf O'Donnell, Marth, Lucario, and Toon Link. I actually prefer Toon Link because he's easier to maneuver and recover with which for me is relatively important. I am actually stupid good with Ike for some strange reason and most of my friends never play him because he's to slow and heavy, but there's something about him that just clicks with me. Not to mention that he can KO you at as low as 40% if he hits you with his side smash. Marth is an odd character too, as he relies on a constant flow between offensive and defensive tactics, and his damage is a bit weird as well as when an opponent gets struck near the end of his sword, he deals more damage than when they get struck near the base of his blade. Wolf is just plain badass, and Lucario has great aerial attacks and control.

They've really nerfed toon link in this one, The style of this smash seems relevant to a more "sporty" type thing so getting KOs are not as easy as smashing, don't get me wrong its still the same game you CAN carry skill along from Brawl and you will, but I doubt you'll be able to KO at 40% as easily as you used to, Its nothing to complain about though, most of the changes they made are quite understandable and worth it, and OMG the boss of this game :D
