Please help me understand these fetishes.

Ok, first off, I would like to say that by asking these questions, I am not trying to be bigoted or rude, or anything like that. Sorry if it comes off that way - I'm just ignorant about this type of thing and genuinely want to understand it. I've actually been wanting to know for awhile but haven't really had the courage to just come out and ask. Also, I feel like there could be a lot less negativity toward these topics if there was more information and better awareness about them.
To get to the point, it has come to my attention that certain fetishes seem to have become very popular, especially in this fandom, and I would like to know from the people who participate (or people who just get it) what the appeal is. What is it that you find arousing or just plain fascinating? Again, these are serious questions, not mocking or being sarcastic.
It's not that I don't get the appeal of fetishes at all- there are a couple that I'm kind of into myself. But if someone asked me, I could tell them exactly how, about what, and why I like it. For instance, extremely softcore bondage-type stuff.. It's fun because you are completely relinquishing your control and putting 100% of your trust in the person you're with, or vice versa, and the process, if done correctly, creates a very strong bond with them. It's terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. That's why I like it, and that is the kind of explanation I am looking for.
These are the ones in particular that I'd like to know about; however, if you have helpful information about other things not listed, feel free to discuss those as well.

Vore- Its the act of eating a living thing, and having another with-in you. Its not always digestion vore, sometimes just soft vore. I like vore of any kind, as I love eating (fatty is fatty). You know that feeling when you get full and its a pleasantly full feeling? Thats what I picture vore to feel like personally.
Goo- I think goo on the skin is soft, slick, a very relaxing feeling. Like when you put your hand into something kinda gooey and soft? One thing I love to make is the corn starch and water mixture. Its solid if you squeeze it yet turns into a liquid if you let it sit still.

now here is what confuses me, personally. I think it's like, a leap to go from being satisfied after a meal, on to wanting to eat another thing alive, usually keep it alive in you, potentially poop it out again/talk to it while it's in you/etc., and especially getting the sexual feelings from it, even if it's just a little bit and it's moreso about comfort. like, I guess I just still don't understand the association.

OP: I think this may very well ultimately just boil down to this: why? because it is their fetish. a fetish can't really be explained naturally, because a fetish, by definition, is an unnatural arousal. like yours, pain, ok. it's a much more common one, and one I share with you. however, it is illogical in a similar way. why would pain be sexually pleasing? you can say yeah, it's trust and the brink and this and that, but ultimately, if someone does not feel the same way, then it's probably never really going to "click" with them. which is fine; we all like what we like, & as long as it's not hurting anyone(no pun intended, har har), I don't see anything wrong with it - & I know you agree. I consider myself into "soft" vore, specifically oral vore and nothing more. I find teeth and tongues (not on humans) to be very pleaseing and manipulating my tongue onto others to be arousing! I find any other type of vore to be a huge turn off.
I find clear bodies (I think that may be goo related) to be rather hot? I guess it could be sort of related to pooltoy. Something about seeing through a body in intimate situations is.. hot LOL
My ex is into feet, which is something I've slowly learned to understand. I know, for him atleast, it has to do with scent, touch, and of course things feet are involved with like shoes and socks!
I def think you have to understand a fetish in order to draw it. Its hard to fake it in art and you can tell when someone is not at all into the fetish as it just looks horrible disconnected :x
