um, so i've somehow got friends in my little old town now finally and to be honest THEY ARE WICKED AWESOME AMAZING and they care about me a lot! which is super exciting because i was starting to get sad and lonely again since i havent been in the city since the spring
uh yeah! so... excitingly, my boyfriend paid for the repairs on my old touchsmart tm2, at first the pen didnt work but i deleted what file conflicted with it and thank the heavens above i got the pen and the pressure sensitivity to work last night so i have a second place of work. i just hide in my boyfriends room when the parties happen downstairs and they respect my space which is wicked!
so yeah i thought i would pass on an update because this is exciting for me and i just need to vent :)
unfortunately, a month ago i woke up t my hd on the floor and a lack of connectivity and the repair shop said it would take 3 MONTHS to get all my files off, which is heartbreaking because literally all my art is on it and i really wanted to start doing prints but hey, everything happens for a reason right? I'm still a baby artist and always will be :) losing 4 years of art is nothing compared to the rest of my life ;)

Nah man, I think you just caught a few people off guard. "First" is usually reserved for YouTube
Hopefully your files will be done soon and everything will be okey! o.o
Best of wishes! :D
And hopefully you'll be able to get all of your files back very soon.
have you considered backing your stuff up on dropbox or google drive? it makes it easier, especially if you travel between machines/workplaces a lot. (which, I don't think you do, but yeah.)
I mean lappies don't have very big hard drives... You can either recover 99% of everything within 48 hours, or 0% in all of eternity - there isn't really a grey area! (Sounds like that's all done and in the past already though? Ah well, at least it's working~)
... *looks at the P4 PC that died completely not long after he got his new PC*
....... *looks at his stash of failing hard drives* I learned a long time ago to never put all your digital eggs in one hard drive basket.
I've lost a lot of files to hard drive failures. Hilariously, I bought an external USB hard drive, backed up my main PC, and ... the hard drive died literally a week later. I've lost a lot of computer hardware too. I'm only thankful that people are generous enough to keep giving me MORE hardware to replace it with, lol, even if it's in similar condition when it arrives!
At any given time I seem to have a shitty computer I'm milking to keep running, a decent PC that's my daily driver, and a small pile of low power systems I'm not using because they aren't as strong as the shitty computer I'm milking to keep running. o.o
How the hell did I go from milking one half dead P4 to being buried in computers?!
Hopefully they can get stuff off of your hard drive quickly, so you can still do the prints you wanted to :3
Gook luck though! If you need a new hard drive I know a guy ;)
