I agree with this one. I would love to trade with you as you've got some wonderful art, but I'm most likely going into this art hiatus due to an upcoming surgery.

But yes, showing your real artwork when asking for art trades is always a good idea.

I have a hobby of art trading... And I can tell you it's a hard hobby at times. It's hard enough for me to want to ask non-friends to trade to start with. But how can i meet new artists and make new friends otherwise? I love trades too because I can make new friends sometimes by doing so... But man you meet a lot of strange people sometimes... Which is why i prefer to trade with people I find out to be friendly and nice... and overall laid-back like me... but it's hard to know how a person is until you get to know them. And I just can't deal with drama queens... I just want the whole thing to be fun... and if they agree to the trade for them to stick to their word and do it even if I have to wait half a year before they can get to it. And of course I always get my half of a deal done if possible.

That's something I don't get. Some people refuse to make changes to a trade when the other person is unhappy with the result. is it that hard to make a few changes? I dono, When people ask me to make changes on my half I don't mind at all. both people should want the other person to be happy... I mean unless somebody is just being crazy unreasonable.

the person asked me if she can change the hair style, but final thing is, a totally different character =_=; ....

Well if they wanted a completely different character then that is unreasonable. However I was not there so I'll try not to assume much.

I...really have a hard time trusting people in art trades for this very reason.
I go out of my way to give people characters that they'd find fun, or simple. But I seem to find people that have severe issues with keeping my characters similar to their original design, simply because they don't like THIS OR THAT.


I mean, small changes because something might be difficult...I can understand and I'm fine with. But if you just don't like the character design, I wont be offended. Just let me know! I have plenty of characters that if you TALK TO ME about them, I can easily go through and find one without the issues in question! And we'll all be happier. :D


Same with if you aren't up to the trade anymore. Dude it's fine, just tell me.

yeah I'm still waiting on a couple of owed pieces from this one person, but they still wanted to start more trades with me..
it's such a hard situation to deal with because you don't want to upset anyone but at the same time it'd be really hard to pretend that everything is ok

Its hard to take trades because you dont always hear from them again. Trading is risky. Some people don't care about the other person ._.
