Convention - Oklacon 2014 Summary
General
Overall, I have to say that the convention was a lot of fun. It was nice to feel that much support from those who have been introduced to my game. It makes me happy to see so many people trying to learn the cool social tricks and skills that Werewolf can teach, and not just people who want to win or screw around. Y'all put my local group to shame, but don't tell them I said that. ;)
Werewolfklacon - This will be fleshed out across the year. If it somehow is cancelled, I'll make sure to let you guys know. Theoretically, it will be a 3 day event in the Dallas area as an alternative to Oklacon. I will be taking next year off, as well as several other people, and it's happening to make sure we don't feel like we're missing out on that weekend. So we'll do a Fri-Sat-Sun sleepover, with a big focus on Werewolf and social relaxation. Those from the convention understand the full logic behind this, but if you have any questions, send me a note. Also, feel free to suggest a name. Werewolfklacon, WotDAcon, 8-Player Lynch, Werewolfxacon, Lynch-Land, I dunno! There's no telling what this could become, after all. Good to think of such things in advance. ;P
Tips - If you wanted to tip but were unable to at the convention, send me a note and I'll point you in the right direction.
Werewolf Tales - There were some pretty epic games during the convention, but well, getting home tends to reset the brain and cause a lot of memories to fade quicker than they should. If you have a specific game that would make for a good story-journal, give me an outline/reminder in a comment.
Mayor Mastery - The GM panel went over VERY well, but there were a few things that I was supposed to take notes on and didn't. If there was something you think I didn't go over clearly, or forgot altogether, leave a comment. That panel was a beta for Furry Fiesta, and it will be run again there. I'll likely be tweaking the quiz some based on feedback, and adding a few other points to the outline if I happened to miss something completely. Oh, and there were a few rules questions I wanted to look up when I got back; does anyone remember those? I think one of them involved the Hunter in a No-Reveal?
Puppy Chow - I'll probably have 5 batches for Furry Fiesta. If you want to suggest flavors, now is a good time.
Kay, that's good enough for now. Supposedly, most of you watch me here on FA. Take some time, leave me a comment, and help me improve. Feedback is teh-awesome, okies? ;D

Where's the 'past that'? It's been over a week! ;D
There were a few errors in that game but overall it was still a fun round. And you've got to admit, he seemed to do a good job stifling any laughter in regards to the oncoming mass-destruction of the Werewolves. Some GMs would start to crack up after the Witch poisons number two, and fall over laughing uncontrollably at the Seer finding the last one.
<3
I couldn't get the How to GM panel recorded at Oklacon, but I can try again at Furry Fiesta.
Some of the things that Ultimate gets me annoyed about-- they let the bodyguard guard himself -every- round! WTF? That takes away strategy. I like their concept of diversity among werewolves and the thought of the Cursed villager, but there are definite places it can improve.
I found this on Youtube, found it pretty funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_1410318675&feature=iv&src_vid=c4VFJGLTlhQ&v=4cIK6Kyn3NM
Yes ;P I had it shared. It makes me optimistic about this game as a vital part of geek culture. I hope to see it expand more, and I really need to get my version out there as the 'High-Class Werewolf Version' :)
