question: where are all thies DOSS attacks coming from?
answer: eastern Europe, more specifically Russia.
why bring this up? because it fits a crazy tinfoil theory i have that is so stupidly absurd that it might be true... and god help us if it is.
so as i stated all the doss attacks are coming out of Russia. why? because once you look at who there dossing honestly who would report it. lets face it our fandom as some twisted motherfuckers in it... hell I'm not exactly what you would call a model citizen. so what legitimate news agency would report this? what intelligence agency would look in to this? .... exactly! and i think that's the point. this is a training exercise. keep in mind a doss attack is ludicrously expensive to pull off and sights like FA, SF, wezzly and all the others are not small sights. your talking about tens of terabytes. but again why. because if you were planing on going after a large network say an intelligence network like the the CIA of FBI. or something more crippling to the US the stock market or banking network. think about it 911 shut the stock market down for a week and this country stopped dead cold. so if you wanted to target somthing like that you would need to his a massive or in this case sevral massive sights. so why us? because if you went after Facebook or twitter "witch are smaller by the way" it would be national news.
now for the even crazyer part.
If it was malicious intent I do not think it's strange this coming out of Russia. because couple this with Russia's incredibly aggressive stance as of late and Americas verry loud and public demilitarization and I believe we have a resipy for disaster. Remember, when the cold war ended we sold most of our stockpiled weapons and equipment. Russia did not. they kept it all... maybe this is why.
