I didn't write up a report for OKlacon Eleven. Not sure why. I was probably still drunk when I got home. Oh well.
Small attendance this year but then again the smaller number made it just that much more fun. I like small conventions. More a sense of community as by the end of it, everyone knows everyone else. Which is Awesome.
OKC12 turned out to be a turning point. Instead of being known for the one singing weird Furry songs and drunk on Crown Royal, I was the one singing weird furry songs and passing out Everclear drinks with Keldran.
Then the guy that put together that awesome Stone Soup on Saturday night
Then as the guy that can cook a shitload of food and empty everyone's cooler on Sunday night until people were waddling themselves back to their A-frames and tents.
Then as MIX-MASTER Corsi that had bottles of alcohol and cans of soda thrown at him to keep mixing wonderful tasting stuff.
Yes I mixed drinks and had fun. I am now the unofficial Oklacon Bartender. But of course everything is 3.2% ... Everclear.
So next year I am going to come armed with a shit fuckton of recipes and we'll see how things go.
The other epic moment ... I am going to make a return to Wild Nights in 2015 armed with new music. Then ... to Wild Nights 2016 as the Guest of Honor. Can you fucking believe it? Corsi. GOH.
Who would have thought that my first AC running into the smoking section while someone is playing Green Day and I responded with my parody of Minority would have ended up like this.
There is one thing I need to say here about all of this. There is one person I promised and swore that I would thank as having me gotten this far. And I will say it. For the record, 12 years later. Thank you Nexxus. You BETTER get your ass to Wild Nights 2016 so I can get you on the stage to thank you there.
