Fine, I did it.

I got stupid Google Hangouts to work on stupid Firefox. Hopefully now it won't close itself all the time. It's ugly as sin, though. The plugin seems to be specifically designed to work as poorly as possible so people will switch to Google Chrome where it works way better. But screw that. I hate Chrome.
Yes, I'm not happy about this. I really hate Hangouts, but some people are really insistent that I must use it or they won't talk to me. I don't like supporting this program when Google seems to be doing the Apple thing of making it work great... only if you use Google products with it. I'd be all for it if they made it at least somewhat good on Firefox, but it looks like a really bad popup ad, and seems to not even be an official Google add-on, but just some guy that made it work for Firefox. It feels like I'm being forced to get a Blackberry phone so I can talk to just 2 people because they'll only use BBM. It also seems to FORCE me to be signed into my account, which I also don't like. I don't like that for me to talk to people, I need to allow Google to track all the things I search on YouTube and Google. At least before there wasn't a name to attach to the data. Even if it's a fake name, it still feels wrong.
For the record, I used to just open Chrome until Hangouts logged in, then shut Chrome and use Hangouts, but it seems like it shuts itself down after a while if you don't leave Chrome open, making it a huge pain since I idle a lot and don't want to have to reopen it all the time. I was forced to be logged in, but since I didn't actually browse Google or YouTube on that browser, it didn't really matter.
