They protected us while we slept, while we grew, until the day came that we were able to defend ourselves from those things that crept in the shadows, those things that dwelt at the edge of imagination and reality. They were our teddies, our duckies, our bunnies, and more; while we slept, they waged war with those dark forces that would have ripped us from this world and into the next.
