Oh Hell...

Had a rather "Interesting" day.
Long story short, three car windows smashed. Nothing Stolen, spent 3 hours cleaning the car. (I can't just sweep it out, we use this car to carry our kids, so it had to be "rub my bare hands over every surface, get even the tiniest flecks of glass" clean.) Police report filed, but with nothing stolen it gets filed as "Vandalism". Still, filed the report. Insurance claim filed. Repairs scheduled.
Insurance is covering most of the damage, save for the deductable. I can't /not/ pay it. So... I'm expanding out my website commissions to five more open slots, I have no intention of begging for money, or asking for handouts, I was not raised that way. I want to work to offset the unexpected cost, and commissions are what I can do. Heck, I'd do a 24 hour fundraiser and take hourly hotsauce shots. 8)
I can do quite a lot. Please, chat me up if you have any remote idea...

Guess Mikey was right, Gilroy really is a tough town.
I feel 100x more safe and comfortable in Gilroy, than I did anywhere short of my parent's farm growing up. In the years I've been here, this is the /singular/ problem I've had.
I'm not saying it is perfection... but I never have to worry about taking a walk after dark.
You got an idea for a website, but don't know how to make it, or even IF it can be made? This is the guy for you. If he can't do it, NOBODY can.
One summer as I was packing my car for a vacation trip, a window got shot-out. This happened in the time it took me to go from the car into the house and back out to the car. The punks were caught more than a month later as I was one of many, many victims. I never saw a cent of my deductible. It cost me the rest of that first day of vacation as I dealt with insurance and waited for the replacement window to be shipped-up from that "city" an hour south. Fortunately, it got replaced that same day. And the punks' excuse when they were caught: "We were bored".
Alas, I don't have a need for a website. And since you won't take a handout, I'm not sure how else I could help. Best of luck.
I'm not against an online marathon, or "stupid things for $" type of deal. But with the things going on, commissions are hopefully where I can make the difference.
