Well, in Canada here, it is official that news is considered a form of entertainment. Now, that also has the negative side effect of foregoing truth. Because it's entertainment, it need not be true.

And even worse. All those YouTube videos regarding the incident, we have so many anti-furries hating on the furry fandom and said that we deserved it and claim that this is some wake-up call to let us know that we're in "reality."

because they don't know the real fandom. people lessen to tv and others that have no idea what the fandom is, they just want to see the bad and if they can't find it they make it up. they don't want to hear about the money that furries raise for charity's every year at convention and things like that

They don't wanna hear the good news. Because they know that would get views and that's something that the media mass wouldn't care for. They just want to harp on the bad things since that gets even more attention and spreads faster than wildfire. And the stereotypes would carry on.

Yes, we KNOW there's good news out there. But that wouldn't satisfy the benefits of these people nowadays. These media corporates and these fools love to harp on bad things and just flat-out bad news.
