Nah, no heating pad on this tank. It's made out of wood and wouldn't work. I have a heating pad on my gecko's 10 gallon though xD Acey's tank retains heat very well vs glass, but his 100watt burnt out last year and I forgot to replace it. Using a 75 for now xD

We have central heating xD Though I did put in his strongest bulb and blankets in his tank. Seems to be keeping up to the 70s now, so its seems fine. Just the bulb focuses only on the heating spot and doesnt warm his entire tank like the other one. He likes to bask on and under so i think its fine temp XD

I just got a 100 watt, but now im thinking I should've gotten the 150 one LOL Whoops xD its in the 100s, but barely. I usually like to keep it around 105-110 for his basking area so it warms up his whole tank (he avoids basking area a lot when its cold). During the summer time and spring, i lower the temps to just around 100-105. any higher than 110, than I just crack open his tank a bit and it goes down xD Dat set up lol
Yeah, you can technically use an incadescent bulb just fine since its just for heat, but they're not in stores anymore. At least not in my area. It was always cheaper xD

It's easy...is there a big round or square thing outside sitting on a concrete pad, with a fan on top inside the louvers? If so...you have either a central air conditioner...or a heat pump. If it runs in the cold, it's a heat pump. Otherwise...I don't know where you're getting heat.

Yeee, also had a recent scare with him too. His toe nail has been bad/grew twisted for some reason (while his other toes are PRISTINE xD) and it started to bleed really bad/smearing blood all in his tank. So I freaked out and bought some medicine safe for him and smothered it, few days later he somehow snagged it on something and ripped the nail clean off. Now its healing over fine. Not sure if that nail will grow back, but im glad its gone. Was always a pain and I couldnt trim it due to the twist/nerves xD All of his other nails are perfect and trimmed due to the tile. That one just decided to be rebellious LOL. Also it's bled and swelled a few times, but this time it was really bad. Not just light bleeding, but was gushingish. Ick. no more problem nail xD I got pix lol

Dubia tropical roaches. I only call them dubia so my mom doesn't flip out. Crickets kept getting out and scaring her. Dubias cant climb or escape, dont make sounds and dont smell, and healthiest feeder xD
