I make costumes as a source of income. This is how I pay my bills so I take it seriously. I also take you as a customer seriously and want you to have the best experience possible. I am here to answer any and all questions that relate to your fursuit, fursuit care, performance, hygiene, safety, and storage.
35 percent retainer is non-refundable and due at the date of acceptance or within 3 business days of agreeing to these terms of service and goes towards the total balance. This 35% non-refundable retainer is put in place to cover my losses in not only materials but time, money, and energy as well. I accept paypal mainly but will accept money orders.
The balance needs to be paid in full before the suit is mailed. You are responsible for shipping. Generally shipping for a fullsuit is in the 50-75 dollar range. I track and insure my packages, you will see the receipt and tracking number.
I am fairly laid back with my payment plans. My turn around is 4-6 months depending on complexity so keep that in mind. If you need longer to pay it off, I can work with you. You can pay me off quick or we can split the balance up over a few months. Generally people who miss a payment just get pushed to the back of the queue, causing delays in completion. I know life happens and an open line of communication solves many problems. The worst thing you can do is ignore me.
If I've had your suit finished for more than 60 days I'll start charging rent at 100 dollars a month and we will decide on a payment plan that will work for both of us. If your suit has been finished or in any stage of completion for 4 months without any attempt at payments and little conversation I reserve the right to refund what you have paid minus the deposit, modify the suit so it doesn't resemble the original and sell it at auction. All of these scenarios are avoidable with simple communication. A situation where rent would be applied would be an order that has been finished and paid off but the customer is unreachable or has otherwise dropped conversation.
My suits come with a 30 day warranty. If something doesn't fit or if there happens to be a problem with something we can talk about it. If it's something you can't fix yourself just put it back in a box, ship it back to me, take a picture of the receipt with tracking and I will reimburse you and pay to ship it back. I am not responsible for normal wear and tear. If you need a little fursuit care kit I can supply you with one. Knowing how to make a simple stitch or use a glue gun goes a long way to fix a loose claw in a pinch. If you feel that it's better to have a local work on a suit instead of taking advantage of my warranty, it voids the warranty. Adding anything extra like zippers or holes voids the warranty. I don't mind at all if you need help with something but take advantage of my warranty first.
If you ever need a refurb, refurbs are always free as long as you pay shipping both ways.
Everything needs to be shipped back clean. Your suit will be shipped with a care pack of tutorials and things you need to keep the suit clean.
*DURING THE COMMISSION PROCESS*
You will have my skype or my e-mail address. Skype is by far the quickest way to contact me for small questions and to exchange wip. I enjoy customers who give me feedback and are involved in the process.
You will get foamwork approval, pattern approval, and approval of everything before it's shipped out. You need to make sure that the reference sheet you provide is up to date and accurate. If you need help with a reference sheet I can help you.
*WHAT I NEED FROM YOU*
I need a hand trace mailed to me. On the hand trace you can write the measurements I need and will outline for you.
DTD if applicable. If you need help in finding an appropriate tutorial I can help with that. If the dummy is poorly made, if the arms aren't extended fully, if there aren't marks to show how the dummy needs to be put back together, I may request a new one be made at the cost of the customer so if you need help please ask! If I require a DTD, I won't start your fursuit until I have it. Any delay in getting the dummy to me may cause a delay in your finished product.
I have cats. If that's an issue let me know so I can accommodate you.
*THINGS I DON'T DO*
Designs you don't have a right to make copies of. I am absolutely not responsible for any copyright or trademark infringement that I am not aware of. Examples would be monster energy drink logos, pokemon, or another person's art or design you happen to like and use without expressed permission. You would get into more trouble wearing it than I would making it.
Extra zippers or holes.
I usually don't want you to supply me with materials like fur. If you happen to have a rare dye batch that I can't find and you need to color match the rest of your suit AND THE FUR IS UP TO MY STANDARDS I can make exceptions.
I don't do deadlines of less than 4 months for large commissions. Exceptions can be made but only if payment is made 75-100 percent up front.
*WHEN TO CONTACT ME DURING A COMMISSION*
I am always very excited to hear from clients before, during, and after the commission process but please try to contact me after 8:30 am central and before 12:30 am central.
Need anything else? Have any questions? let me know how I can help you.
