The future is now!

So, it's 2015 and you guys think that Back to the Future and Star Trek didn't predict this?
"But they had hover boards!" you say, well, so do we.

"But the kids didn't like to play games where you use your hands on a controller."
Neither does today's kids.

"But they have flying cars man! flying, cars!"
And yet again, so do we.

Sci-fi (science fiction) movies and shows have been accurately predicting the future since the 60's (at least)
Star Trek alone has given us many things like the idea's for
cellular phones http://www.slipperybrick.com/wp-con.....01/trekcom.jpg
iPad's (and their Microsoft competition.) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/…/…/dd...../TNG+Apple.png
transparent aluminum ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium_oxynitride )
The Tri-corder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVCUC2BuGc0
Do you remember Geordi LaForge form Star trek: The Next Generation?
Well, modern science has created an implant and visor to help blind people see

Talking computers? we have Siri in our phones, and voice recognition software build into most 64-bit operating systems (you can set it up manually if you wish)
The original series' Uhura had a wireless ear piece to communicate with, sound familiar? it should, we call it Bluetooth.
Video chatting, Star trek made this popular in the 60's and it stayed more popular in the 80's and 90's during the newer shows,
Today, we have Skype, and various other VOIP (voice over internet protocol) servers that allow us to see the person we're calling
The newer smart phones come equipped with two camera's one of them front facing for just that purpose (and selfies)
NASA is also working on a warp drive, that's right ladies and gents, light speed travel (or at least, very nearly)

Automatic doors? they're everywhere now!
there are several prime examples of sci-fi tech come true, people don't seem to notice that we ARE living in the future that people in the 80's dreamed about
and you don't realize how common or everyday this future tech is being used, twenty years ago, you would be an alien for talking via Bluetooth, or face time with a friend on your cell
