What would you like to see in the lions?
After an initially frustrating period work on the lions is humming along nicely. I hope to post a first preview soon.
One thing's for sure already: both genders will get blinking eyes with different eye phases (open, tired, closed, etc.).
Now is the chance to make your voice heard: what else did you miss in the wolves that you'd like to see in the lions? Please post your wishes in a comment to this journal entry.
Cheers,
-L

I mean .... Lions are cats too so they can retract them o..o
That + the usual stuff like muzzle talk (on type and voice) ;)
And being a lion myself i've always tried to find a good lion av, and so far despite all the good ones out there i have yet to find one that has a good looking mane. and until flexible sculpted prims come around i dont know if it'll be possible to make a really good mane. But yeah, not really a "feature addition" but something to think about. If anyone is going to get it right its gonna be you ^^
I think it might have also been SL or even a setting i missed in graphics, but i did notice that the really crisp fur texture's i saw in your previews for the wolves didnt look as good in SL. again i'm more liable to blame SL for that than you. but yeah. If you know any tricks to retain the crisp texturing, go for it. ^^
can't wait to see the preview. i wish you the best on the project :D
And speaking of which: while my shots are not edited, they have been taken with a powerful graphics card. The setting to look for to keep the textures crisp is "Anisotropic Filtering" which can be activated in the advanced hardware setting in the SL preferences. That and switching on anti-aliasing makes SL look much better, but you really need a beast of a graphics card for that.
oh yeah the anisotropic setting, i did miss that one. I tweaked the anti-alias and forget anisotropic XD but yeah, dont worry, i have an 8800 and i love it lots ^^
