Online Data backup services?
*EDIT* Probably going with onedrive. 6.99 a month put it at the cheapest, also get the newest office stuff, and so far seems pretty convenient
I'm looking for an inexpensive online storage system.. and am not sure where to look.
I currently only have my art files on an external hard drive and would like a backup system just in case.
I'm looking for simple, easy to use (Like can drag and drop a large group of files)
Convenient and relatively cheap
I'm already aware of dropbox

many helpfuls <3
I'll have to look into google drive
I almost wonder if they have some sort of system.
and generally speaking I'm with you on that one, but I've heard too many stories of harddrives getting corrupted or stolen
I'm definitely keeping my external, but having all my stuff on a storage database where I know it'll be relatively safe is still comforting.
backups for muh backups :D
I like having lots of back ups xD
wouldnt be a problem if it was just porn. I may contact them and see if i can get more specific details.
I've got about 600Gbs of crap I'd like to store and at least 400 of that is art related stuff.
ALL THE GOOGLE ACCOUNTS!
I just imagine millions of little tidmas hoarding your inboxes BWAHAHAHAHAH YES MY MINIONS LETS TAKE OVER THE WORLD
I have a NAS drive set up. It is my own personal cloud that I can get into anywhere I am online, and it is set up to backup a few folders on my computer every week automatically. Its also 3TB.
And since picking up a smart tv, it can talk to it on the network, and play all my music/movies/TV shows off of it. A little more up front cost to set up, but then there is no monthly fees, and you have complete control over it.
That seems Waaaayyy more preferable and ends up saving money in the long run.
but for now I'll probably end up using onedrive.
Just asked and apparently they dont care what you put on there as long as you dont share "certain" stuff
which I planned on hoarding it all anyways...BWAHAHAHA
