Dropbox and Google drive are good ones

Dropbox is a bit pricer then I'd like. 120 a year for only 1 T of space and their unlimited is 180 a year xD it is nice for smaller things though

as far as I know the norton guys have online backup (I personally prefer to stick to external drives)

I avoid norton like teh plague, much prefer kaspersky xD

and generally speaking I'm with you on that one, but I've heard too many stories of harddrives getting corrupted or stolen
I'm definitely keeping my external,but having all my stuff on a storage database where I know it'll be relatively safe is still comforting.

I honestly only use norton for the firewall, file insight and performance monitoring it. I depend on malwarebytes for the antivirus. you raise a good point about hard drive corruption I might just get another external drive for a double backup

I actually love onedrive... So easy to use. I have 1TB of storage, but it came with my office 365 subscription so I'm not sure what it costs on its own...but very easy to use!

While not an online backup thing...
I have a NAS drive set up. It is my own personal cloud that I can get into anywhere I am online, and it is set up to backup a few folders on my computer every week automatically. Its also 3TB.

And since picking up a smart tv, it can talk to it on the network, and play all my music/movies/TV shows off of it. A little more up front cost to set up, but then there is no monthly fees, and you have complete control over it.

That will probably be a future investment because really I'd much rather have something like that set up then depending on some outside site controlling my stuff.
That seems Waaaayyy more preferable and ends up saving money in the long run.
but for now I'll probably end up using onedrive.
