I..what wow. I am really sorry to hear that and frankly shocked.

According to a staffer who contacted me to explain the decision, it's because larger vendors all 'tied' in their judging process, so it just ended up being random choice. And anyone who's played DnD with me knows I have no kind of luck once things become randomized or a lottery. I wish their judging process was a little more carefully arranged in that case, this isn't child's play for us, it's a big part of our yearly income and I will genuinely have to restructure my year around this to figure out how we'll be paying our mortgage steadily in the spring. That's more than a bummer, it's life stuff. I'm also a previous GOH though, and one of the things I was told in the past by someone... VERY high up on the con staff (as in the top) who has since stepped down is that we're supposed to get first pick for Den space, and comped registration for life every year. And I have been having trouble getting both since staff rotated. It's frustrating because it's not a concern I ever thought I'd have for this con, but man... just don't rely on hand-shake agreements any more. Get it all in writing if you can. Anyway, really sad if this means I won't be seeing you when I could have! But I'm not heading down there unless I'm vending, especially not if one of my six yearly cons is no longer payin' mah bills.
