My thoughts on American Sniper...(No Spoilers btw...)

No Spoilers btw...
So we just finished watching this movie and if I'm honest I don't understand what the big deal is. Mr Kyle was portrayed as a conflicted individual who did his job, believing it wasn't affecting him - oblivious to its toll on his psyche. Not a flag waving, patriotic lunatic - as some reviews seem to state. (Did they even watch the movie??)
Having known soldiers who have returned from deployment as truly different people, I can say that the films portrayal of PTSD was some pretty accurate work, even some of the subtleties. Especially the dynamic between husband and wife.
I can slightly understand why some people would complain, HOWEVER, personally I don't share their concerns. Sit through the movie in its entirety and form your own opinion on it.
This movie hasn't done any more to demonize a certain group of people than any other war based movie released in the last 30 years. For example, "Apocalypse Now" for Vietnam, "Black Hawk Down" for Somalia and any WWII movie for the Nazi's.
Bradley Cooper - Fantastic job and I hope you feel you did the family justice.
As a final note, the entire audience walked out of the theatre in silence and it was truly haunting. Well worth a watch, regardless of your view of the man.

FA+

btw, I don't think I understood the very start of your comment X3
But overall, I do think it's been complained about way too much by tumblrians or just left-wing liberals (I think that's the term) or whatnot. They can't seem to leave Chris Kyle alone, which I understand he's not perfect but he has been through war, man.
