Hey Starbound players!

I've got an update to my Nani race mod that's compatible with the latest stable Starbound beta, Upbeat Giraffe:

All the items have been rejiggered to fit the new game structure, and there's a custom ship AI and a bunch of stuff!

Also, are we peasants worthy of adding you on Steam? :D
It's really rad
If you'd asked me last month, I'd have said it's pretty slow, but they just released the latest version last week (the previous version was enraged koala, the current is upbeat giraffe) and it overhauled the entire progression. I haven't played more than a few hours in the latest release, but so far the pacing seems much improved.
There are things I like about Starbound, especially from the "building stuff" standpoint (your matter manipulator gives you far, far better range for placing and removing blocks than you can possibly have in Terraria; also, wiring can have actual logic circuits that work with far more polish than Terraria's wiring). And there is plenty I like about Terraria more than Starbound. Despite both being 2D sandboxes, it's not entirely fair to compare them on a "better/worse" scale - and such a scale wouldn't be the same for everybody anyway.
I'd totally make it if I had mod tutorials and time XD
One complaint would be that, while its nice that it can just be dropped in without any additional mods, it does not play nice with species selection screen extender mods that other race add-ons use.(I have a couple of custom races installed) Nani kinda hides behind the other rows of species and peeks over the top- it's like he's shy!

It's kind of annoying that you have to use an extender mod at all, and there isn't a generic ability for Starbound to expand itself as races get added. There's a bunch of weird issues like this -- for example, if I wanted to insert a Nani into the Outpost, I'd have to make a replacement PNG object map file; if multiple races did this, there would be merge conflicts and only one would win.
I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing overall.. I started a lot of characters in my test runs, and my home planet is pretty much stripped bare X]
don't you do anything half assed!?!
