All this talk of snow and stuff in the UK, scotland and the north of england got quite a bit of it.
I live the warmest part of UK. literally all my town has had so far about inch or so of snow that melted within half a day.

I'm not surprised about Scotland. I was up in Edinburgh a few years ago, and it was the middle of summer, but apparently Scotland missed that memo because we were freezing our balls off up there, haha.

Yeah, unfortunately it's never as soft as it looks and sometimes there's a hedge or fence in hiding. *nose wrinkles* You know the old pitchfork in the loose hay in the barn scenario. Although I'm totally in agreement with the suggestion to go tunnel into it and make a fort.... well at least as long as it's not in an area where the plows can get to. My mom would pitch a fit when we'd do that as kits, 'What if the plow comes and you're in there!'

Haha, true story: one of my major fears is winding up impaled on a spear-top fence. A friend of a friend slipped while attempting to go over one such fence and wound up with a couple of spikes in his midsection. He was able to call the fire brigade and they sawed the spikes off the fence and took him to the hospital, and he recovered all right, but that right there is the stuff of nightmares.

*winces* I know enough to realize a good chunk of what you left unsaid... Oh yes, I can't blame you for the nightmares.
