So watchinf the news and suddenly there was a segment on furries.
calling the fandom "bizzare". this segemnt aired after a parking segment and a segment on little leage stripped title...then they went to commerical. Calling it wacky. and uncoventuel. calling it weird. they had a reporter go in "under cover" who met a fur who told her to put a dollar on his horns supposedly so the beast saves her soul"". they did tell positive points and showed anthrocon. talking to a suiter who spent 2.400 on her fursuit. but was it nesesary to use the words they did?

i dont think you seem to understand that the news shows what "sells" not what is always true. Uncle Kage the Chairman and creator of AnthroCon says this in quite a few interviews that you can watch on youtube. "Tell people what the fandom IS not what the fandom ISNT" is best quoted. We, much like many different fandoms have our fair share of "questionable" characters (to anyone else who reads this im sorry but some of us are kinda wierd o.o) and we have been unlucky that these characters are the ones that represent us on the News *shakes his head* without the proper spotlight, good furs putting their faces out there and showing not just telling the world "hey we arent so bad" then our fandom will continue to get called "weird, wacky, etc"

OP
I completely agree. I was just putting it out there that it was shameless of the news station to depict furries as such.
