Step One: Make them more than just eye candy and cum guzzling slutbag porn stars, and that means male OR female.

"But Jeff," I hear you sputter. "What about all of the OC's you've drawn in pornographic images?
I personally took the time to write out a story and flesh out the character of just about every OC I've come up with, the only reason I drew porn with them is because A: Somebody asked me to, and B: Eh, why not, it's non-canonical anyway.
When I see people go "Wow that's a really great character he/she really stands out!" while the OC in question is only pictured in pornographic images and the like, I find it incredibly hilarious and yet at the same time infuriating...since I again, take the time to flesh out my ideas and give my OC's life rather than just do what everyone else does and sexualize everything...
But what do I know right?
