One of my girls is currently racking up a frightening vet bill, diagnosis fatty liver. Took her in emergency Sunday night as she'd started to turn yellow on Sunday. Things are looking quite dire at the moment; we're not sure if she's going to make it. May end up having to make some really unpleasant decisions this afternoon.

UPDATE: I caught the flu on Thursday, after visiting kitty at the vet's, where she perked up considerably at seeing me. Brought her home on trial Saturday, and am having hell getting her to keep all her meds and stupid amounts of high-calorie food down; feeding her somewhere between 8 and 14 times a day through a feeding tube.

Going in for a follow-up this afternoon (Wed 25). Still not sure where things are headed from here.

UPDATE: After a quite drastic decline in her energy levels and general state, in combination with her liver enzymes coming back drastically worse than just a week ago, I had to make the decision that no pet owner ever wants to make. Around 7 PM on Feb 27, Belladonna went to the final sleep.
