Well I am not always on here. And often I here about situations well after the fact. But I going to put in my 2 cents, instead of sitting back being cursed off for something I just walked in on.
Okay no I do not agree to the Cub Porn one bit, frankly it disturbs me. Almost to the extent where I a void favouriting sexual pics of characters who don't exeggerate sexual maturity (or dont look obvious adult). But just because I stay in FA doesn't mean I approve it. I just find it to be one of few outlets where I can show case a wide range of my work.
No I don't really consisder my self a furry or furry artist, but doesn't mean I don't like furry or that I won't draw it. Actually I try to be open to all styles of art and design, even though I might not fully be able to appreciate it. but that just because of lack of knowledge.
But I would like people to realize one thing about the art and design industry as a whole. It is a subjective industry that means that doesn't matter what style there is out there, there will always be something about that style that people will not approve of for different reason. For furry it is cub porn and mixing sexuality with animals (often being mistaken or mixed up with beastality). For Anime its is child porn, Yaoi & Yuri, and the assumed lack of knowledge of anatomy and variety (often seen as narrow minded style). Abstract for its presumed lack of talent ("a square in the middle of the canvas is not art" said a friend). Well the list goes on and on.
But I would not rant or condemn all the artist who design in that style or do a few image based off that style to automatically be a contributor of what you consider to be the bad aspects of the that style. Everyone has their on individual style and likes. And should not be narrowly viewed. But I guess that is just my opinion. Well I hope that I haven't offended anyone but I wish that people would be a little more understanding. But I guess it is part of the human flaw, to be judgemental, it happens through all parts of life, and art isn't an exception to that rule. Maybe I am hoping for too much.
Well this is the longest journal I have ever wrote in FA. And I hope to get some responces to it (which will not escalate in arguemates, lol)
But chances are that it will be seen by no one. And thats okay at least I made my opinion.
