That is an example of how the movie might have been if the suits got their way. Instead we got (for the most part) a true vision to the dark comic. We got a serious story, gore, sex, and lots of glowing blue penis.
That's an interesting way of putting it. I did find the movie enjoyable, but I'm painfully conscious that they siphoned off all the clever and intelligent parts of the comic and replaced them with bizarrely violent action sequences. I can't deny that the movie was fun, though.
Totally agree! It made me a happy little camper And it was quite a good popcorn movie! But i will deffinatly advise my friends to read the grapic novel first! Strange enough... I reallly liked the ending, i'll just say that not to spoil anyone!
I felt like the ending got sorta preachy, really. Not the BIG change that everyone talks about, the added bit between Night Owl and Veidt that I won't spoil the content of for anyone.
i agree! Preachy is bound to happen in this type of story! It's like : "Hey guys we have less than three hours to fix what houndreds of years of philosohphical and social studies can't fix... what shoudl we do??" BAM! DEUS EX MACHINA! and everybody's happy!
Well, since it was added for the movie it kinda stood out to me. I guess the director couldn't bear leaving it on the depressing, empty note of the comic.
D8 to be fair I only see it for that one character with the mask that changes blob forms.
