IT WAS FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC! I need to go read the graphic novel now.
EDIT: Before the movie, Tazel and I were discussing Left 4 Dead. He mentioned that one of Francis' lines, in the airport under the statue of Atlas, is "I hate Ayn Rand." I responded with laughter so sudden and maniacal that the girl next to me apparently thought I was dying.
And that's the ZC Awkward Moment of the Day! =D

Also whenever you read the comic, all you'll be able to think about is Dr. Manhattan's magic glowing wang.
If you can find the hardcover, boxed Complete Edition I really think you should go for it. It runs a lot of money but is totally worth it. Otherwise, at least before the movie came out you could get the paperback collection for only around $20, and I do think it's one of the best things you can spend $20 on.
I'm really glad you guys enjoyed the movie, I can't tell you how cool it is you got to see it with other people like
Loved Watchmen though, it was all kinds of awesome and then some. Btw, are you going to AFF?
'I hate Ayn Rand.'
Rorschach is <3. Best. Hero. Ever. The end.
p.s. try The Invisibles if you thought Watchmen was complicated and like comics.
Great movie. The purple tiger thing confused the crap out of me though, I'm sure there's an explanation in the comic.
