If the movie gets more people to read the comic than that's fantastic. ^^ I do really hope you can find a copy of the book (I'd be glad to lend you mine!). It won the Hugo award, only Graphic Novel to ever do so.

If you can find the hardcover, boxed Complete Edition I really think you should go for it. It runs a lot of money but is totally worth it. Otherwise, at least before the movie came out you could get the paperback collection for only around $20, and I do think it's one of the best things you can spend $20 on.

I'm really glad you guys enjoyed the movie, I can't tell you how cool it is you got to see it with other people like  Tazel and  Fyrdragon. I'll have to try and catch your evil laugh at some point, maybe after you lure a group of heroes into some sort of deathtrap... ^^

Great movie. Read the GN beforehand. They did a damn near perfect job on the movie. I've been hearing the director's cut is supposed to be even longer and better.

Woo! I'm amazed that somebody else can follow that small, yet convoluted line of reason. :D

I'm still not even sure I liked the movie or not, hah. I guess I'm glad I saw it and everything, but I left the movie like, confused and not really sure how to feel. Blue dong didn't bother me (if it did, what'm I doing here posting what I post? Hawr). Like, I was SUPER excited to see it, then I saw it, and didn't really get anything out of it coming out of the theater. So maybe I'm disappointed in that.

You know, that's about what I thought when I played Bioshock.

They had to thin the plot a lot for the movie, because the plot was super fucking complex and there was a fuckton of character layering and backstory to make them more realistic. However, having read the comic beforehand, and then seeing the movie, I still say it was fucking amazing, even if it had to be dumbed down a bit to work on the screen.

Rorschach is <3. Best. Hero. Ever. The end.

Indeed, Rorschach gets my vote for never compromising. Still I thought they did a good job of the adaptation, awesome movie :)

p.s. try The Invisibles if you thought Watchmen was complicated and like comics.

I love Ayn Rand and Watchmen.

The overly long and drawn out softcore porn scene in the Archie was the worst part of the whole movie I thought. What makes it even more bizarre is I'm sure John's blue CGI cock was more shocking to people than the sex scene was.

Great movie. The purple tiger thing confused the crap out of me though, I'm sure there's an explanation in the comic.

I just got the comic in the mail today. About halfway through it. And it's BLOWING MY MIND.
