Lament of the Wolfbutt
Hey everyone. Little update n' things.
I've had a lot to think about over the past couple of weeks. For the longest time now I've been trying to move away to the US or Canada. I've really had it here. My job is becoming a hazard to my health, even as I type those words about my job I feel my face heating up like I'm about to start sweating. It's too much pressure and I know I'm being treated badly.
In the long run though I want to get out of doing IT. By IT I mean I'm actually doing the work of about four people covering three different subjects of IT whereas in an organisation who know what the fuck they're doing they separate this kind of thing off.
What I'd love to do, is my passion, video games. Now, I have no skill in making them, but man do I love to play them and talk about them and I take great pleasure in recommending games to people and have them come back and say that they loved it. It does happen and it always makes me happy that I've made someone else happy with my extensive knowledge of games. There's this one guy who even calls me "The Encyclopedia" because I keep reminding him of old games of his youth from the 80s. I just love learning about games and why I found a way of using this to my advantage I really don't know.
Well, I kind of do. Back when I had to choose what I wanted to do for a career, I was a very different person. I was quiet, shy, reserved. I let the music I was listening to at the time say what I wanted to say. I couldn't say no when my parents pushed me into IT because it seemed like I had an interest in computers (which I do) and that it would be an easy way to get a job at the end of it (which it isn't). I still love technology but IT as a career? Fuck it. Fuck it hard so it can't walk straight due to intestinal distress for a month!
If you've reached this far, well done and thank you. Now I'd like to request a couple of things from you:
1. If any of you know of any company in the US or Canada that you have a contact for who are looking to hire an insanely hard working IT guy. Let me know.
2. Subscribe to my new video game YouTube channel and like stuff. If you're into retro games, I'd really appreciate the support. I'd like to collab with people too.
Thanks guys, see you down the road some time.
