[Personal Vent] Some things about me you probably don't know
10 years ago
My biggest goal in life: ... to have one... to have a life of my own... but guess what.. can't do that.. know why?? I'm not rich... I don't have a job.. I don't have anything hardly more than a HS diploma.. like... a few credit hours from 3d modelling and some other art classes in college but i failed and dropped out of community college twice... TWICE... wtf is wrong with me?? does the world just hate me so much that it doesn't want me to succeed?
In between colleges, I tried to make a life for myself when I moved in with my fiancee'... what happened.. some family bullshit that ended up making me leave and come back home to mom and dad.. still without a job... still without any college... still without a life of my own... still having a love... try college again.. NOPE... fucked that shit up too when I got sick and missed the last 2 weeks of the first semester and was out sick during the week of final exams... Parents divorce... and I move out of moms to go try and start a life with dad and his family in July 2014, nope.. can't get a job without a SC license... 9 months later... I finally get the license change... YAY! oh fuck.. 1 month prior.. left knee was dislocated... OOPS...guess no job for me till it heals up... back to 9 months (march)... what's the plan.. Oh. look.. we're planning on moving in the summer AGAIN... welp..there goes any fucking plans of getting a job or trying to go back to college for a 3rd time...
YEP... life must fucking hate me...
What has life given me thus far in my 23 years of life:
+ a fiancee of 3 years
+ a hamster named Jezebel
+ a few online friends
+ some artistic talent
+ some writing talent
+ some musical talent
+ some technology smarts
+ sometimes good at a few video games
+ a high school diploma
- a broken family
- no job
- no college degree
- very few friends
- deceased family members
- deceased pets
- being genderfluid in a non-supportive community and family setting
- being depressed or just uncaring about life most of the time
- no life to call my own...
This is my life... and some things I've never really went into detail about until now...

Even with working disabilities, I would recommend possibly looking for a job as a assistant or a desk job at a veternarian's office. Something less physical like the food industry, and vets often have something like a desk job you could do (and loving and having experience with your animals is a plus). No job that will have you standing for periods of time.
You have skills, girly. It's obvious you do. And you need to present and show your knowledge, and convince people you know what you are doing. Even working for a local newspaper could work. Sometimes you have to start small work to get into the big leagues and have something to show for it when you don't have a college degree (which is what I have been doing, and it is slowly paying off for me by getting a higher and higher paying job as I just around). This is all food for thought, and from my personal experiences with these exact experiences you are having.
If you every have any issues you want someone to vent to, you know where to find me on Facebook. It's Lauren B.
