[Vent] Quit my First Job on Day 2...
I don't know what to say...
I quit my job... and It's gotten 80% of my friends to tell me I was stupid for quitting and that I'm just a quitter and just... putting me down worse than I already feel for leaving...
In case you hadn't already heard from me about why I left...
The manager wanted me to finish 6 rolltainers, I was the only "male" on staff, so anything the women needed help with that was heavy, I was requested to do it. and I started to overheat before and after my 30 minute break...
I was shaking and could barely open my boxes from my hands shaking with the box cutter I was so overheated..
and I was made to hold and carry a corroded box from the bleach exploding during shipment on the truck without safety wear.
[ a friend asked if I got to drink any water or Gatorade... ]
didn't get that opportunity unless I wanted to during the 30 minute break out of the 9 hour shift I was scheduled for...
like.. I'd have to have clocked out for break just to be able to buy it, but I was hungry and had a dr. pepper and 2 small bags of doritos and it still didn't help...
I started the day at 6:04am...and left at 12:57pm...
so... if I get a check for these past 2 days... then it'll be around $75 before taxes cause I've worked over 10 hours... better than nothing in my opinion.... at least I tried to go further... I just couldn't handle it all at once.

I'm pullin for ya!
I'm sorry, but for being literally the 1st day of doing work in the store, putting all that on your new hire just seems like you're wanting to force them out the door.
I think I'd much rather be shoved on as just cashier than have all of that forced responsibility like that... I mean, literally... ANY time the women wanted something heavy done... I had to stop working my rolltainer, and go help because the Manager told me to... yet none of the women cared to ask if I was okay or if I wanted any help...
But yeah, doesn't sound like a job that is well suited to you.
