Now I'm not about to pretend I have anything worth stealing by our glorious new digital dollhouse overlords - far from it - but it might be a good excuse to clean house. As in: burn this one down and move on to pastures new. Man, I kind of wish I was insured, or something.
Having just looked through my gallery here, two things came to mind: one, that I barely make anything, and two, most of what there is here is really old and not really representative of my capabilities. I've been busy getting my degree for the last four years, cooped up in places not exactly conducive to creative pursuits (and being too short of time or energy regardless) and as such, my output has slowed to effectively nothing. I'll have to find a place to live and work to maintain myself in the coming months - if I can get the work-life balance right, hopefully I'll be in a position to start making things again in my free time. Probably not, though!
Ultimately I still have ambitions on doing something in a visual or semi-visual medium, but despite still drawing animal-folk and little else, I find myself increasingly disenamoured by the 'furry community' at large. I don't think I could even give a succinct reasoning as to why, short of incoherent grumblings about immaturity and squabbling and a lack of common ground and taking it both too damn seriously and not seriously enough. Maybe I'm just getting old.
This website is also a godforsaken relic with a poor record of ethical and structural integrity, so in that sense at least, I think I'd be glad to see the back of it. I'm going to mull it over for a few days and if I'm still of the same mind, I'm going to start deleting everything. If there's something here you like (fuck knows why that would be, but hey), it'd probably be prudent to save it to your hard drive now. I'd nuke this account and leave no trace, but that would require functionality, and we all know FurAffinity doesn't trade in such sordid commodities. Perish the thought! I'll probably still use it to lurk and comment here and there though, so long as the art keeps flowing like slightly acrid wine.
I honestly can't remember if I met anyone meaningful specifically through this site, but if I did: thank you/you're welcome. Probably.
If you want to keep in tabs of what little I'm doing, your best bets are:
Twitter (for random life musings)
Tumblr (for sporadic work-in-progress art and photos of shit I've bought)
Weasyl (the gallery I'll be maintaining whenever it is I finally start producing finished work, again)
Exit, stage right!

We were good friends once on Heat of the Night, and to be honest I agree with you a lot on this journal. Everytime I post up something, anything: someone or other has to bitch and moan and then I get my whole gallery erased..... drives me nuts so I tend to keep to DeviantArt instead as I can control things a lot better over there *noddles cutely*. I do miss the old gang though and the fun we had back then heh
