Here We Go Again

Another day shaping up to be much like yesterday, just a little farther south and west. Again, crap moisture and weak shear should keep the tornado threat to a minimum, except near the surface low/dryline interface in central OK. SPC has issued a moderate risk for large hail today along the I-44 corridor in northeast OK. Storms should start out discrete, but quickly evolve into a somewhat linear cluster as the cold front moves in from the northwest.

I hope this season is more exciting than last year. I'm not entirely hopeful, however.

Well, the tornado drought has finally broken. At least two tornadoes in Oklahoma today.

I had a cap bust here west of DFW today. If it was just 1-2 degrees warmer they would have done it but the cap won out.

Was quite a day though considering. A couple of fur friends in Moore had a close call but are safe at least. Lots of debris around their home and the neighborhood is fairly damaged however.

Wow sounds like things are shaping up in the north. It's been quite out here the last few days since the last rain.
