Let's share some good stuff
I just wrote this big journal about who I dont feel worthy of all the support and attention and etc etc etc...lots of dissing myself really....and I sorta kinda reread it before hitting send and didnt send it...instead I deleted it. It's gone.
It's far too easy to focus on my failings. my insecurities and inner doubts. Those voices constantly drown out the things I think that are good about me. Its difficult to focus on my good points. I was speaking to a very clever puppy yesterday about how, sometimes we do stuff to feel like we're being validated in a way. Consciously we're not doing it for the praise but that actually when people recognise the hard work that we do, it makes us feel good about ourselves it helps make those worthless feelings go away for a short while. But I shouldnt need other peoples praise to feel validated. I should be able to feel confident in myself enough that i dont have self worth issues....yet....I've been saying that to myself for years and years...Part of me thinks I will always have self worth issues and feelings of just....No....no....I deleted all this junk once..... i'm getting off track...
Here's what we're going to do...and its tricky okay so bear with me.
I want you to tell me three things about yourself that you like. It can be anything a personality trait, a physical feature, an achievement in your life.
Its REALLLY easy to say "OOOH theres nothing special or good about me" Trust me I say that all the time. You're NOT ALLOWED to say that okay. If you want to play you hafta play by the rules.
So yeah, just tell me three things you like about yourself. they dont have to be HUGE things, they can be utterly anything. And when you think of your three things just remember that they're good things about you. There are good things in everyone, even if you dont see it in yourself. I bet you can see the good things in your friends and family really easily cant you, and I bet they can see yours easily too.
We really are our own worst critics at times and sometimes every once in a while its okay to just think kind things about yourself, cause thinking mean things about yourself can get kinda tiring and sad so just give yourself a break today and think good things about you.

Also I like that Im getting better at not procrastinating
I also like how my ankles look in skinny jeans for some reason
I like that I've achieved some cool things in memory competitions that people think are great. I like that I don't say bad things about other people almost ever. I like that I actually look quite good if I'm dressed up right and the camera's kind to me... ^.^
i dumped some 7ish year friendships because they were really really bad for my mental health
...
um
.....
my hair, yeah that works :3
1) I'v been told by my family and close furry-friends that I'v got pretty good skills in cooking, both for carnivores and vegans. I also made a new year's resolution not to eat kebab-meat before august and to eat all my pizza's at home without any meat and so far I'v managed to hold on to these promises.
2) I'v had the courage to guide two furries to their first international furry convention: Nordic Fuzzcon 2015. Things went smoothly 90% of the time, although there was one minor setback on the journey home. Oh well, live and learn. Now both of them have booked themselves to Eurofurence 21
3) I'm quite happy that I'v taken up performing stand-up comedy performances at furry conventions. They haven't been perfect as of yet, and it is likely I won't become a great performer, I'v received quite a lot of praises and even some gift art because of it ^^
And now I'll mention some good things about you:
You'v had the courage to expand your personal interests (read: Kinks) into two separate accounts, you keep producing appealing art and you have a relationship with your beloved man.
2, I'm not exactly the typical student imo, (based on the male students I'm around). I'm more of the serious, studious, (or intellect-preferring), type of male that actually cares about their education.
3, I like how I view the world in what could be considered a different perspective, (at time cynical but in general NOT the "Everything is sunshine and rainbows" delusional perspective).
If I were to name a fourth, I'd say it'd be how I rather enjoy the beauty of nature, (namely animals except certain insects).
I like to help people and make them smile lots and lots!
OHohohoh and give them lots of hugs too!<3
2. I am working on my own game that I want to finish and pitch to a large company to have made into a large rpg game XD
3. I can be a smart ass at times and very sarcastic, its a wonder
I have thick curly brown hair?
I can juggle two balls in one hand?
I'm good at memorizing script.
I built a flame thrower.
I help my older neighbors take care of there places when they can't.
better?
I learn to do stuff on my own.
How things work and how to use them.
Independent( not good but practice make perfect )
I am a good listener and friends come to me for advice.
I like doing little things to make people happy, whether it's just me making a joke or making them something.
I like the way my hair curls in my fringe as i think its uber cute :3
That was harder than i thought X3
Intelligence is displayed by many, but wisdom comes to few.
I am kind.
Though I may be abrasive and brash in looks—and behavior—ultimately I have been told and I have seen for myself that the heart within me is made of solid gold.
And I am idealistic.
Many may believe that there is no hope for Humankind, but I believe they only see fractions of the whole. And I have seen for myself that there will always be hope for us.
I like my personality? I might seem opinionated or maybe even slightly aggressive at times but I like to think I'm a nice person really - I'm a very loyal friend, like to help people out...
Last one.. uhh... I'm happy that I get to work with so many amazing animals! I'm very lucky and blessed to work with anything from tigers to monkeys and everything in between!
I also like how I try not to take my problems in life too seriously. Because my problems usually equate to mere first world problems when so many have it so much worse.
And lastly I like how I never get angry with people in real life. I'm surprisingly easy to get along with and things that would normally anger others just seem to wash off me
I've managed to hold down a full time job for longer than any other job I ever had before.
I'm proud I can cook.
I like that I'm fairly charismatic.
I like that I'm told I look good.
That took longer than I thought it would.
I am finding ways to be puplike even when people aren't with me
Honestly, amma really kinda awesome and slightly amazing.
I like the idea of making a new friend every day
I am inventive when it comes to improving existing items
the way i can try to find ways to fix issues
and the care and feelings i give to all who come my way for help in any way
im a survivor and stand for others in the same situation
#2) I am very good listener to my friends and those who are kind to me.
#3) I like to do things for my friends and never expect compensation unless it is something really really huge. at which point all i only ask for is some munchies (i'm a very big person and munchies are easy to pay me with specially dollar menu items)
I like how diverse my skill sets is. Its nice being able to do so many things even if I'm not an expert at any of them
I like that I can be little and erase the cares of the world.
i like to pay attention to little pleasure
I like to be optimistic
So... I love my life :) and I would not change it for anything in the world
2. I have had my artwork on display in real art galleries. In fact, tonight there's a reception for one of said gallery showings.
3. I've been hired to illustrate children's books before. I'm working on a few right now.
1) I'm random and non-conventional, which I guess can be fun in its way. But I guess it helps with my creativity too.
2) I'm a good listener and will always go out of my way to help people if I'm able to, even if it's just listening.
3) I'm really struggling to think of a third.
I'm glad I learned to be a better listener and to care more over the years. (I've learned to follow the Golden Rule much more over the years)
I love that I'm a quick study, as that has saved me more times than I would like to admit.
Glad this was posted. I totally agree we all need to focus on our good points! Talk to you later Star!
2. I've had a few short stories published by a website that publishes stuff from writers I really admire. And this site thought my writing was good enough to take and maybe more importantly pay for. That thought still cheers me up.
3. I studied martial arts for four years and really pushed myself to do things I never thought I could. I think the proudest moment was when the sifu said I was his most improved student over the year.
i like that i have a big patience to everyone - tho has to admit it has a limit
i like that i can find a good reason to smile, even when there's just dark
These three things are things I'm proud of.
2. I'm loyal. Thankfully, not to a fault anymore. I used to not be able to tell my friends they were wrong, taking their sides no matter what. But I learned that being loyal isn't about only siding with your friends, but actually telling them the truth and, sometimes, the truth hurts. But being there for them is what makes true loyalty.
3. I can picture multiple sides to an argument. I'm able to debate against myself and this gain a greater understanding of an issue.
3.5 I'm able to keep my cool in situations and take a step back to try and see what's going on instead of blindly rushing in a situation. If I need to make a decision quickly, I'll look at the information I have and make a call, but I don't dwell on it. Sure, I might get more information later that would have made me take a different path, but if I didn't have that data available then, there's no point in beating myself over it.
Now let's hear it, or do I have to talk Manda to come here and make you?
I like learning about people and stuff....I would consider myself a jack of all trades a master of none, so i dabble in lots and lots of different things, from language learning and creative writing to different craft techniques,to computer programming languages, learning musical instruments and well..im always looking for the next challenge..im easily bored I guess, but then I think thats a large part of what makes me interesting.
Errr...I always make a point that if someone writes to me I always write back, cause well if someones taken the time to write to me its just common courtesy to write back. Sadly I cant do that with all the comments I get on journals and art as I would never have time to actually draw, but I try to do it 100% of the time with notes.
I like that I wanna help people. If I can just make one persons life happier, or help one person out, or just make people feel that little bit less alone. That's what drives me. Ive had people write to me and tell me I inspired them to draw that I was their muse. (gosh now that sounds really conceited and big headed of me....) But being someones muse is like the greatest honor to me. because inspiring other peoples ideas and happiness is like spreading a really amazing virus which will then spread to other people and together we'll all sorta make the world a more beautiful place.
If I could do it, you certainly could! XD
I really hate those critic voices xp they get so bad that I used to get physically sick and miss out on fun stuff.
2; Very playful with friends
3; I had met a childhood favorite country singer and he signed my mandolin, for I am musically talented with instruments--especially the guitar.
2.) My channel
3.) ALL the friends I make :D
I like that even if its hard sometimes, I feel I'm doing as good a job as I can raising my little brother.
I like that while I like my model painting, I'm never fully satisfied, always pushing myself to do better and feeling that I can.
This is nice. Fantastic journal. <3
Despite it taking so long for me to get there I like how once I decide I want something my mind is set. even if it did take five years to get there.
I suppose in general I like how I've developed. through my educational experiences and the things I've said and done the person I turned out to be is someone I can at least be happy with. even if I make a lot of mistakes sometimes and hurt people without meaning to.
Now maybe one day I can actually get motivated enough to get myself back in to writing and doing the things I enjoy hehe ^^;
2. I try to help people when I can.
3. I can hide that I am sick so people won't worry.
this is real hard.
2) I'm very intelligent
3) Everything is A. OK, because I'm strong as an O. A. K, (an oak)
4) I volunteer
5) I refuse to let my depression win. (Even though my sword and shield is Prozac)
1) I'm creative
2) I'm usually good in a crisis
3) I try to be caring.
Hmmm
My personality being caring, loyal, and silly.
My true friends and family that I got to meet is a wonderful thing in my life
And having the honor to be with my mate. :)
humanfurry. ;DLet's see, three things...
~I'm super weird, and all of my friends love it. XD
~I want to change someone's day with a smile and a bubbly disposition. This is usually at work, but if I can do that, it makes it that much more fun to work!
~I love making people laugh. If it's by doing something really stupid, or something weird like meowing at my coworkers, I'll do it.
Um... I like that I enjoy learning new things and will actively seek out people to teach me, despite my social anxiety. (For example, I recently picked up leather working and I'm making my first project a dog leash to give to my dad for his birthday. I'm learning to tool leather so I can put his initials on the handle, as well as cutting the leather, beveling edges, and leather dying/painting.)
And, tying into my first point, I like that I can pick up on things quickly. It makes me feel accomplished and happy.
Uh... really struggling now... I... like that I am always working to improve myself. I fell into a spiral of depression and anxiety after moving away from my hometown and all my friends, But in the three years since, I've been clawing my way back up out of that hole, and I can now say that, while I am not perfect, I am a better, more responsible person. My priorities are somewhat straightened out and getting out of bed in the morning is easier than ever. I'm making myself go out and push my boundaries, meet new people, and make new friends, even though it scares me more than anything.
Whew. That was hard.
So thats me now Im going to list 3 things about you, becuase, well I can. =P
You have an artistic talent that I can never hope of achieving, You are charasmatic and have a way with people. And with everything that could possably go wrong, you find the courage to ask for help even tho you don't really want it.
Im sorry but, iv been in a "Im useless " situation before. it almost led me to taking my own life.... Im not proud of it, but its the truth. My friends were there for me, and inturn I need to be there for them, You may not know much about me other then I watch you and im a DL, But know this, I do consider you to be a friend.
I like that I was able to work up the bravery to buy my pacifier and bottles...
and I like that I tend to remain calm during debated and arguments
...
What do we play now?!
Also I think ish your turn!
When presented with a task, I'm good at identifying what I don't know/what I need to know, and taking steps to learn it. Most of my success at work has been the result of industrious google searching and reading documentation rather than having the required knowledge beforehand.
I was once able to play the guitar solo to Master Control by Liege Lord (alas, I am now horribly out-of-practice).
2) I have a keen eye for detail.
3) I'm proud to be able to do the job I have.
I do know all too well what you mean about being one's own worst critic. Not a day goes by when I think to myself that I could have done something better throughout the course of the day, even if things still generally worked out well, especially at work. Even though I wish I could stop being overly critical of myself, the one upside to it is that it's a sign that I never want to stop improving, and I think that's still a good quality for anyone to have. It's really about finding the right balance of satisfaction in one's achievements and constructive criticism in one's shortcomings. :)
1) I'm really good at writing. I've undergone a series of crash courses trying to make myself a proper writer because I honestly believe I have a chance of becoming professional with my work. It's a long shot, but I'm still hopeful and believe I have a chance.
2) I'm a great cook. I have the ability to take things I usually don't like (onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc. ) and really make it palatable fur everyone, including me. My family is well known for its picky eaters and I've won them over time and again.
3) I'm a great gamer. I'm able to learn the ropes of most any game I pick up just a few minutes into gameplay. What's more, I can knock out a few games in a matter of days. Some that gave me trouble were Okami, Banjo Tooie and Legend of Zelda; a Link to the Past, but I'm plenty familiar with them now and can play through them fairly well.
I just hope I can get better at artwork before I open for commissions...
I will give it my best shot.
*thinks to self. "Okay mister dwaggie hatchie stuff, twee good things otay,
Star says I have too"*
1) I always do my best to be kind to others.
2) I am mostly happy for who I am(a few changes like being to lazy could be improved)
tho all in all I am glad I am me.
"Umm Star person, this is hard, I am trying my best, and here is my third"
3) Tho I have a hard time getting started, but when I do like to draw, I am not to great
tho it still is fun. Sometimes I am afraid to do gift art cause I think I will mess up other chars,
tho I am just going to try and do my best.
As long as it comes from the heart that's all that matters right?
*falls back and breaths a sigh of relief* "umm Star, did I do good?"
*looks at you tail slightly waging*
I'm gonna do my second personal like right now! :3 Big huggles to Star and everyone who reads this!
1. I am calm under pressure
2. I'm not afraid to get in peeps faces when they push my boundaries
3. I am knowledgeable on most general knowledge
1. I have been told I am very easy to get along with.
2. My self analysis has allowed me to sharpen my coding skills.
3. I took on an Open Source project and tried to continue it to the best of my ability. An SL diaper with scripts don't ya know.
I have straight, jet black hair and naturally tan skin. Asian power! x3
My sneezes are really high-pitched and even though it's rather embarrassing, lots of people find it cute.
