Where and how do I begin this.
A while back I posted a news link that
wirez sent me about a group called Dog Is My Co-pilot which flies around the country rescuing dogs scheduled for euthanasia. That's a more polite way of saying they are going to be killed because they're simply not wanted.
I was impressed and knowing the cost of flying, wanted to do something to help; so I offered my services as a writer. Explaining myself was awkward at best. 'Hello... I have no money to give but would you like to post some stories I did and maybe place a tip jar on the page?'
Actually, I am very pleased to say the idea was well received and the stories I sent as examples were liked very much. I was much gratified by this. The very first has been posted up already and I have been told there were many very favorable comments made.

What I intend to do is write an original story for them at least once a month. Occasionally I will be asking artists if they would like to donate a piece of art to compliment a story. All credit will be placed upon the page for the art work used.
I'm very excited by this... I'm helping to save the lives of animals who would otherwise not have a chance at all. Aviation is costly as are the meds and vet bills that go with such an endeavor.
These are good people and I am so pleased to be accepted as I have been. There was never a question about 'what is a furry?' or any insinuation that what I do was strange in any way. It's like they understand me. Perhaps they too are furry.
How wonderful is that?

That's a wonderful thing you're doing for that organization, Vixyy. Every little bit helps, even when not monetary. It would be cool if a large furry convention would pick them up as a sponsored charity, though.
