Is Disney's Recent Adaptation of Cinderella Worth Watching?

Cinderella has always been a favorite of mine, the whole animated flick is so elegant. I even adore Disney's adaption of America's traditional musical of Cinderella with Brandy to this day.
But I haven't been interested in the new flick but recently I've noticed some people just gushing over it.
I'm always a little skittish of new versions of Cinderella because people have a funny need preach woman powerhood through it. Make the "feminist" version of it. ((Like Ella Enchanted(book), though... even though it was a little more preachy than I'd like... I still love the book.))
But basically, I'm curious if you all though it was any good. Did they pump it full of feminist-ness? Did they go the other way and forget to give the characters character?
Please note: I'm all about empowering our little tykes and teaching them to fend for themselves, I just don't think Cinderella is the story to do it. Cinderella is more of a story about domestic abuse- which does leave the victim in a "helpless" state of mind even if they're capable of freeing themselves physically. A moral of the story that I would more than anything love for Disney to teach.
