Looks like I have failed once more

I thought I had a stable and very easygoing job, I thought I had a job where the coworkers and managers were all supportive and understanding. Today, I was proven wrong...I got a call from a higher up from the company, he informs me that lately my performance was lackluster, and that as a contractual-based company, it's better for them to let one go than to risk losing a twenty-year contract. He also informed me that the supervisor, my supervisor, had discussed with me about these performance issues, however, this was not the case, I was never once pulled aside and had a one on one discussion wherewith I can improve. Nope, so they wait until after they let me go, and not before things went from bad to worse, oh no, they had to withhold this information and now, like a pathetic loser, I lost my job because they never told me what I was doing wrong for the past month and a half I've been working there. So here I am, venting to those that follow me, for which I apologize profusely for you guys having to see my...journal, to see me wallowing in self-pity. Times like this, I honestly ask myself if I'll be able to ever hold down a job without me royally screwing it up, but given my track record for the past twelve months, it wouldn't come as a surprise. I don't know how to react to this, part of me wants to cry my eyes out, the other wants me to beat myself up, and the third part of me wants to find a job that doesn't suck or at least, doesn't have a language barrier. That there, was another issue; when I began to work there, there was a coworker who spoke perfect English, she didn't know Spanish and nor did I, and the rest of the coworkers only knew limited English, so when I worked with her, things went great, not a problem. Then she quits to find another job and another coworker, who speaks Spanish but not very much English, takes her place, we go about doing the same routine as usual, but we go at our own pace. I don't know what happened, or why the issue was not addressed to me earlier, but now...it's too late, and I really wish I knew Spanish, but..I don't....now I'm back to where I began :(

Try not to beat yourself up over something out of your control :c
Sounds like it's their loss. Not communicating with their workers
It may or may not be illegal to record private conversation such as that, but if there is anything the clippers fiasco has proven. No one will care if the story is juicy enough because apparently the media is above the law.
This, or your supervisor is the sort of spineless "happy guy" who will never want to get in trouble, so he avoided telling you you were not doing the job as intended, and also avoided telling his boss he failed to tell you so.
I really don't know where you were working, nor can I know if you were doing your job as you should, but if no one informed you about what you were doing wrong nor did the company give you the training and tools and information to try solve it... To me... It was their fault at that point.
>>Don't get mad at yourself about that, Hear?? ;)
Good riddance!
Can you imagine what it would be like had you of worked there twenty years, and suddenly they say "Bye"?
You will be alright my friend.
Awww ...It's not a cool way to end a contract like this. Looks pretty unfair!
I wish you to get a better job asap!
Take care
