Better Times/Worse Times

A nice photo collection from now-destroyed Bethlehem Steel 'Sparrows Point' mill in Baltimore. As many as 45 thousand people once worked there. Warning: Some sad photos at the end.
The people responsible for destroying the magnificence of the blast furnace should be beaten with large sticks. Repeatedly.

You were right. There were some very sad photos at the end, and it was painful watching the video of the furnace being imploded. It makes me sick to think about how far this country's fallen. It used to be an industrial powerhouse, but now it's a weak, bankrupt shell of its former self. And it's only going to get worse if that Trans Pacific trade deal is approved.

really sucks to see stuff like that happen. As you know already our local steel plant closed, and is now set to be demolished
